For those of you who have spent any time reading my blogs, you know that I speak a lot about goal setting and allocating your time to keep you on task. It is necessary to set small goals along the way to get you to your bigger goals. One question I want to ask you is…
Are you setting your goals high enough?
From time to time I stumble across quotes and inspirational photographs online, as I’m sure you do too. Every now and then one of them strikes a chord with me, which is why I’m addressing this topic.
I have many goals that I work towards on a daily basis to get me to where I want to be. I do the same small tasks on a daily basis so that they compound over time to produce results. So far I have been successful in achieving many of my smaller goals along the way. I work on them with a purpose, to get me closer to my end goal.
I came across a quote this week that really got my attention. It was by Stephen Hawking, one of the most brilliant physicists this world has ever known. He said:
“My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is and why it exists at all.”
Simple? I think his goal is the furthest thing from simple…that is until it is achieved.
How will he achieve this? By setting smaller goals with a common purpose of getting him closer to understanding the big picture.
Ask yourself these questions:
How big are your goals? What steps do you need to take to get there?
It’s time to get up, make a plan, and start shooting for something bigger. Accomplish what you can today with a purpose. Keep your eye on the prize and don’t give up until you get there!

Awesome advice Adam.. Definitely! The culprit that keeps many stuck and fearful is simply not having great enough dreams and goals. Can’t become greater or reach any higher if we remain comfortable where we are at.. Thanks for sharing!

Great Post Adam, if you set a goal and it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable then it's not big enough.
I totally agree! If you only act within your comfort zone…that’s where you will remain! Get out there and do something big!
