Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Adam Lumley, and I live in Ontario, Canada with my beautiful partner Deb and our two wonderful children. I created this site because I wanted to create an invaluable resource for anyone in the network marketing industry (aka multi-level marketing) or for anyone seeking to start their own home based business. I have the goal for this site to become a destination filled with real, straight to the point, tips and strategies on how to grow your network marketing business so that you are making money as soon as possible.
A little background on me…
Since a very young age I always knew I wanted to do something great. I graduated highschool with honors and was even granted a scholorship. I was voted most likely to succeed in my graduating class. Sounds pretty sweet huh?!? Well what I soon found out is that life is full of surprises and that path to success is not set in stone. I didn’t make the cut when it came to my second year at college. It was a competitive course and my grades didn’t win me a seat in the next year.
Now what?
Well I got a job and joined the real world. I quickly found out what everyone meant when they said “paycheck to paycheck”. This wasn’t anything close to what I had imagined my life to be. That’s when I was introduced to network marketing. I was so excited! I thought I had finally found the answer! I was going to do something great!
I didn’t know at the time that more than 97% who attempt it fail. I quickly became one of them…three times over. I knew there had to be a way to make it work. I met so many people who it was working for. I remembered one of my old teacher’s favorite sayings, “There are two types of people in this world; those who get it, and those who don’t”. I accepted that I was the latter and moved on. I always remembered those people and the great potential that the industry offered, but it was time to grow up and get a real job.
So I did just that. I had many different jobs. One of which even payed me to travel to amazing destinations around the globe. However, even with that job, I never got to experience the freedom I had heard about in my initial networking days. I was still hooked on the idea, but opposed to the struggle of trying to convince my friends and family to see my vision and buy my products.
Fast forward to the fall of 2011…
I met two people who would forever change the way I saw network marketing. The first of which introduced me to a company where he was certain that he could show me that it works. He was a close family friend and I had nothing to lose by hearing him out. He didn’t have to say much and the dream started to appear in mind again. This time I had a whole family that was a part of my dream. If I could just make it work this time I would be creating a future not only for myself, but for all of us. I trusted him and I gave it a shot.
It worked! I made money! People wanted to be a part of what I was doing! I had a taste of success in the MLM industry…it was a small one, but it was a step.
It was nice to make a little bit of extra money. I followed the system. I had successfully worked my warm market. Now what?
Well that decision was made easy for me. I lost my corporate job. My mom called me as I was being escorted out of the building to tell me that she had just lost her job too. She had worked there for 25 years. We both got downsized without warning on the same day.
So there I was, a family of four to feed, and my mom with no savings and only a few years from retirement. I knew I had to do something and now I had the time to figure out how. Enter the second person I mentioned before. As if it was a part of my life plan, I stumbled accross my new mentor. I told him the lengthier version of this story. I told him how I thought all of these successful marketers must know something that I don’t. To my amazement, he agreed and offered to share it with me. He told me that there was a way to build your business while you sleep. He said that people would be calling me eager to do business. He said that bugging your family and friends was no longer necessary. The fear of rejection would be a thing of the past. I am forever grateful for what he taught me.
I have been full time with my MLM business ever since, and I truly believe in the MLM business model. I don’t see myself ever doing anything else. I was initially skeptical like a lot of people when they first start, but I quickly found that it’s a legitimate business model that truly works.
The network marketing industry provides an incredible opportunity for ANYONE who has the drive and motivation to make a lot of money to do so. This site is dedicated to YOU, a fellow network marketer and it’s my mission to see that everyone who comes into network marketing who wants to succeed, and is willing to do what it takes to succeed, does so!
